Advanced Directives

If you become sick and are unable to speak for yourself, having advanced directives are important.  Advanced directives allow you make decisions now which will manage how you would like to be treated and cared for in the future.

There are four types of advanced directives, a health care power of attorney, a living will, a mental health treatment preference declaration and Do-Not-Resuscitate or DNR/Practitioner Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment. When you prepare your advanced directives, the choices you are making should be discussed not only with your family but also with your health care professional, as well as your attorney.

The Law Offices of Edward P. Graham is here to help you navigate through this process. We will help to ensure that your wishes are administrated as you have directed. If you are interested in creating Advanced Directives or preparing your Estate Plan, you can contact our office in Naperville at (630) 357-2333 or in Chesterton, Indiana at (219) 797-7820.
